Eight ports of high-performance Gigabit Ethernet switching with optional Small Form-factor Pluggable (SFP) transceivers supports both fiber and copper connections. – Provides eight ports of SFP-based Gigabit connectivity. – Uses industry-standard SFP modular transceivers, sold separately, to provide a flexible physical media connection. All 3Com SFP transceivers qualified for this module. – Inserts easily into the expansion slot at the back of any model of the Switch 5500G-EI family. – Supports IEEE 802.3z, IEEE 802.3x, IEEE 802.1p, IEEE 802.1D, IEEE 802.1Q.
