Features & Benefits:
This cable is used to connect the units of a stack of 3Com® Switch 5500G-EI switches using 3Com eight-high XRN® Stacking. Each 3Com Switch 5500G has two built-in XRN Stacking ports at the rear of the unit. This cable goes from the first stacking port of one switch to the second stacking port of the next switch.
Up to eight switches can be stacked together in this fashion. If resilient stacking is desired, the top switch’s available stacking port is connected to the bottom switch’s available stacking port.
This can be done with a 3Com Switch 5500G Stacking Cable, of 1.5m or 5m length, or, where the stack is comprised of just two switches, a second Switch 5500G-EI Stacking Cable. – Connect the switches in a stack of 3Com Switch 5500G-EI switches, using 3Com eight-high XRN Stacking.
